The apartment of small area in Vilnius Old Town in a new house of modern architecture is intended for rent. The task was to fit the rooms with the main functions in the 40 sq. m. apartment for dwellers of the apartment not yet known. This small apartment concept is a clear axial line which visually and functionally separates two zones. The first zone is a rest area (bedroom and sitting room), the second zone is a domestic area (entrance lounge, bathroom and kitchen). Natural, high quality and particularly durable materials are used for realisation of the interior. Very thin ceramic tiles of particularly large format are used for finishing of such most exposed areas as walls and floors of the corridor, bathroom and kitchen. Different natural plywood used for facades of the kitchen and cabinets, shelves of the sitting rooms and wall of the bedroom make the interior cosy. The natural earth colour interior is supplemented by sky blue colour accents. A space for personal belongings and works of art of the future dwellers has been left for the interior.
