The office of the Regional Director Baltic States of the hotel network Holiday Inn & Ecotel in Vilnius. "Where there is light, there must be shadow." (Japan writer Haruki Murakami). 14 m2 office space of achromatic colours is created by means of a play of volumes, plates, light and shadows. A volumetric light element above the main object of the office, i.e. the work desk, creates compositions of hyperbolised light patches and shadows in all directions. Volumetric and plate expression of the desk becomes a repetitive element and other plate patches and lines integrate the whole composition of the space. The overall composition is complemented and finished by the sculptures created namely for the work office by the artist Agnė Kondrataitė. The work office is like a work of art but functions as the work space and the elements necessary for work such as socket outlets, drawers or shelves are integrated and hidden but easily accessible.
